Our Father's Table

About the Ministry
Our Father's Table is a dedicated feeding ministry of Palm Coast United Methodist Church. Recognizing a vital need in our community, this program provides hot, nutritious, and lovingly prepared meals to individuals and families facing difficult times. Operating weekly, our volunteers work together to cook, package, and distribute meals to those experiencing homelessness, seniors on fixed incomes, and anyone in our area who might otherwise go hungry.
In addition to our hot meal program, Our Father’s Table operates a small food pantry in Bunnell. We distribute grocery boxes on a weekly basis to families in need who have been referred to us by community agencies or Flagler Schools. Recipients receive several pounds of frozen protein (meat or fish), non-perishables, and fresh vegetables and fruits when available.
Bridging the Gap for the Unsheltered
Beyond food, individuals experiencing homelessness often need emotional and spiritual support. Our Father’s Table provides general outreach and crucial essentials to our unsheltered population. This includes distributing tents, tarps, emergency food, toiletries, phone cards, and arranging medical transportation. Gas cards are also provided to individuals on an as-needed basis.

How to Donate:
We rely on the generosity of our community and local partners to keep this vital ministry running. Here is how you can support Our Father's Table:
-
Pantry Items: Canned goods and non-perishable pantry items are always needed to support our Bunnell food pantry.
-
Unsheltered Essentials: We actively collect new or gently used tents, tarps, and toiletries, as well as donations for phone cards, gas cards, and transportation needs.
-
Meal Supplies: We go through hundreds of bags each week for takeout and deliveries. We are always in need of clean plastic grocery bags and brown paper bags for meal packaging.
-
Monetary Donations: We gratefully accept contributions to help purchase fresh ingredients and necessary outreach supplies.

Volunteer With Us
It takes a dedicated team to serve our community, and we are always looking for compassionate individuals to lend a hand! Volunteer opportunities include:
-
Drivers: We urgently need volunteer drivers to help pick up boxes of food from our generous retail partners on Wednesday and Thursday mornings. (Note: Some lifting is required).
-
Meal Prep & Packaging: Volunteers are needed to help chop ingredients, cook, assemble, and pack the weekly meals for distribution.
-
Runners: Help transport food between the kitchen, the registration desk, and the pickup areas.
